I ordered the two books for our grandsons. we are planning a trip out West next summer. I thought these books would be good to show different places and things for us to plan to see. It does not have the pictures and illustrations that we would have loved to be able to see and plan. We are planning to go to Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Park. We were hoping for more suggestions of where to go and what to plan to see and do.

I ordered this as a gift for my brother that loves National Parks and traveling. When I placed the order I didn't realize until after it was already in transit that it auto filled my city and state for my brother's address! I was able to get in touch with their fantastic customer service and they got it sent to him right away. He told me he loved the gift and plans to start using it!

Not as advertised. You do your own research and “fill in the blanks” like a 3rd grade worksheet. So, do your research on each park and don’t waste your money. This book won’t give you any information on the parks. The reviews on their webpage must be heavily filtered or straight up false. Buyer beware.

Sorry, but I'm not really impressed by this notebook style. Thought there would be more pictures. Basically, it's an overglorfied notebook. Plain paper for $35 which is really pricey for the quality.

I was really hoping there was information about each park, and that these were available 40 + years ago. We have already been to so many parks that we'll never get back to and it's hard to remember when we went and who with before. The book is of nice quality with a nice cover and spiral BUT the book is primarily all black and white pages just to plan a trip with minimal information about parks and no pictures. I was hoping for pictures and a better guide verses a travel diary/log.
For the price there should be more information and colored pages.

It only gives you one small picture of each park with very little, very basic information. On a separate page than the picture is a front and back page of questions for you to fill in about your trip. It's basically a journal.

Research to find out exactly what you're getting. I did not. I expected 2 pages if information on each park, but got 2 pages of blank space to write stuff. If you have internet, there is a QR code to scan. Then some park info available to find and read on your phone. I would not recommend unless you are just interested in a place to document your trip.

I couldn’t wait for our adventure planner to arrive! I was very sad when it arrived and the back cover was all damaged in shipping. It was mailed in a mailer that when thrown around damaged the book instead of a book mailer made to protect such items from damage. Too bad for such a beautifully thought out item to be delivered in such a manner.

This has a great opportunity to intro you to a National Park. Then you fill out the logistics of the trip (which resembles more of a planner) and then there is a section for your post-visit reflection based on questions asked. There is a place for pictures as well. Now if I would only have them printed up off my phone.

I love the journals and purchased them (in duplicate) for myself, daughters, and granddaughters as gifts. I have purchased all the "National" (parks, monuments, forests, & historical sites) series in duplicate, as well as your "Lighthouse" series, and multiple state journals (New York, Florida, Montana, Washington, Oregon, & California) in preparation for intended visits. I am using these to organize adventures and create personal memories with my daughters/granddaughters), so very precious to me!
Love the state maps, county maps, and adventure list in the state parks books.
Thank you for all your efforts to make these journal available! My 83 year old mom loved them and wished she had them available when she was younger to plan and journal all her travels.
Recommendations for future publications:
1) Add one full index page for all the parks **by state** in the National Parks Adventure Book so it is easier and more convenient to find the specific page(s) that the park information is located on for that state. Often we plan to visit all the sites possible within one state so that makes it easier to plan the route we actually travel.
2) I really like the "Adventure List" page found in the National Parks Adventure Book and your State Parks books; would love to see this in all the adventure books you publish. When planning it can be very helpful to check off for each site visiting, and if planning on short notice helps to organize activities when things may be a little hectic. Also very helpful for creating a list to print off so everyone has a checklist to complete for their participation, especially fun for kids! Could be a nice 'addition' on your web page (similar to your free petite adventure planner) for those who purchase items to download and customize for their family adventures.
3) Provide a page or listing of useful National and State (Parks, Forests, Monuments, Historical Sites, Etc., Etc.) **websites** that users can reference when planning visits.
